This is one of the very early pencil drawings that I did of Wendy Gidlow’s horse, Mahashi Amadeus. I did this portrait and another full body drawing for her from 2 stunning photos taken my the talented Tanneth Bern. Sadly I had limited means by which to capture photos / photocopies of the works I did, so I never got a good picture of the full body one I did.

Being such a very black horse with the light playing in his mane actually proved quite a challenge.
