The first “3 in 1” that I have done since “Shandy the Arab x”, and in fact the person who commissioned it asked for this one because of that older drawing.
43 hours in the making, this was a challenging one to do, firstly in putting the photos together in a fashion that worked, and secondly in most cases removing tack / a halter from the horse in the only good photos available from the client of this very special, and now deceased, horse.
It was commissioned as a birthday present by a group of people for the horse’s owner, and I did it in graphite on a relatively smooth / un-textured paper that is cream / off white coloured, so the end result is a little softer to my mind.
