This A3 pencil drawing was a commission by Rod Fowler for a fellow endurance rider for whom they had commissioned a work previously that didn’t come out well. This was a birthday present for her of her special boy, Shandy.

I thoroughly enjoyed doing this one, and though its not clear in the attached picture, I actually did the final shading in coloured pencil, giving it a very slight tint that highlighted this Palomino horse’s creamy/golden coat.
