36 hours to completion, this is an A3 pencil drawing completed on 20 September 2018. This stunning Thoroughbred horse made a beautiful subject, and the photograph was professionally taken, and thus very clear with good lighting. This is an excellent example of a good photograph making for a very clear pencil drawing.

It was a surprise birthday present for a client for his wife, and he asked not to be identified.

I tried a different paper for this work which was slightly off white, and a much softer grain than the usual paper I work on. The off white / cream paper gave the drawing a softer look which I particularly liked.
