When Autumn leaves start to fall

9 hours in the making, this water colour painting was the second prize for the Medieval Fayre: Viking Invasion 2019. I did it as a combination of wet in wet painting and finished off adding some darker detail with wet in dry. It’s always fun to deviate from the more serious graphite drawings and experiment with new techniques and colour combinations.

I completed this work on 5 June 2019, and the title can be credited to Edith Piaf, as I named it for the song of hers stuck in my head while I created it.
